AmCham Vietnam Membership Directory

Free Listing One-half page (vertical) free listing, with company logo, address and contact points, representatives’ names, titles, and contact points, and description of member company and highlights of member company’s activities in Vietnam. The AmCham Membership Directory is published annually in February (1500 copies) and delivered to all members in HCM City and Hanoi, as well as to senior Vietnamese and American government officials, visiting business delegations, etc.

AmCham HCMC On-line Membership Directory

Free Listing Members receive a free listing for two office locations in Vietnam, and one office listing outside of Vietnam (USA, etc.). Additional listings are available at a modest fee. Company listing(s) include company logo, address and contact points, representatives’ names, titles, and contact points (optional “Contact Us” via email available), and description of member company and highlights of member company’s activities in Vietnam.

Advertisements Every month, over 50,000 visitors, 100,000 page-views, and 150,000 impressions of sponsors’ announcements are recorded on our web site. It’s a great place for business networking, the online hub of nearly 600 member representatives of over 350 companies (including both expatriate and local managers in HCM City). It is also a key resource for non-members in the USA with interests in business in Vietnam, who are looking for information about products and services from Vietnam. Monthly “Letter from the Chair” and Weekly Email Updates

Letter from the Chair is the monthly newsletter of AmCham HCMC and includes upcoming events, summaries of key issues regarding trade and investment between Vietnam and the US, and AmCham happenings. Members may insert announcements/flyers that are delivered to all members.

Weekly email updates are sent to all members at the beginning of each week to highight upcoming events and key strategic news items concerning trade and investment. Members that have *Advertisements” on our web site may include an ad in these newsletters for a modest additional fee.

AmCham Committee Events – for Networking, Outreach, Advocacy, and Community Service

AmCham member companies and staff organize committee events, which provide networking opportunities with other AmCham members, government officials, media, and other opinion leaders. Committees propose and participate, the Board of Governors approves, the AmCham office supports, and Sponsors provide financial support to supplement participant fees to cover costs. AmCham Member Events – Highlight Your Company’s Capabilities

AmCham member companies benefit by outsourcing event management to AmCham office staff. We arrange the location and A/V equipment, food & beverage, advertising to other AmCham members, government officials and guests, manage the event reservations, and staff the registration desk at the time of the event. Cost to AmCham members is only $250 for the entire package. The content of the event must be of general interest to members. Examples of AmCham Member Events include:

AmCham Weekends & Golf Outings

Members, family, and guests participate in regular weekends and outings to relax and network in an informal atmosphere (and at very favorable prices). In 2006, be sure to join the Dalat Winter Weekend and Roundtable, Jan 26-28, 2007 and the Family Weekend and Golf Outing in Phan Thiet, Apr 28-May 1.

Committee Recommendations to Improve Business Conditions

A key AmCham objective is to promote trade and investment between Vietnam and the U.S. AmCham members participate in committees that prepare and submit recommendations on improving business conditions in the form of position papers and letters to senior Vietnamese and U.S. leaders. After consideration and agreement by the appropriate committee and the Board of Governors, or the National Board of Governors, the position paper or letter will be sent. We often receive email inquiries from U.S.-based companies about sourcing, investing in, or exporting to Vietnam. Make sure that your company listing information is up-to-date so that visiting companies can find you on the AmCham web site. For example,

  • “We are conducting research to locate potential manufacturers for our products, and to investigate the possibility of acquiring (or design build) a manufacturing facility in Vietnam. We do not have a current contacts to assist with business relations in Vietnam. Can you provide such services or information?”

Business Facilitation for Visiting/Non-Resident Members (“Appointments Service”)

We cooperate with the U.S. Commercial Service, industry associations, and government/industry officials to arrange business appointment schedules for visiting and non-resident members interested in trade and investment with Vietnam, including exporting, importing, and investing. We introduce AmCham member firms that can help visitors understand the legal and regulatory environment for setting up in Vietnam.

We can make hotel reservations for visitors at favorable rates, facilitate applications for Vietnam business visitor visas, arrange associates that can also help with all logistics of visits, including hotel, rental car, arrange and accompany visitors on a series of appointments. There is a modest fee for this service.
